Human Aging Vs Dog Aging

As every year progresses in our life, we become less efficient and less productive. This is due to the fact called aging. Aging is the process of deterioration of one’s ability as his life progresses. The aging is certainly unavoidable. Similar to man, all the other living organisms do undergo aging. Aging is mainly due to deterioration in ability of the cells to do work. As all the organisms posses cells, all undergo aging. Let us compare the aging of our favorite and friendly companion, dog, with human aging.
Human Aging Vs Dog Aging
There are lots of similarities and also several differences in the way man and a dog undergo aging. The major similarities are the reduction in efficiency and poor reflexes. One might well note the differences in it. The reflexes will not be as sharp as it was before. And both develop Arthritis. Dog will not be certainly active as it was before, both mentally and physically. But man may be active mentally even during old age. There are other similarities like both undergo gene loss, the stamina level goes down and other things that one could visually see.

There may be behavioral changes in both man and dog but only some cases of both species. The differences include the type and time of getting aged. Dog gets aged quickly; while for man it takes a long time. In man osteoporosis occurs, while that is not common in dogs. Also the diseases that occur to man due to aging do not attack dogs, while some may be common. The change in skin becoming wrinkled is seen only in man but not in dog. Aging is common for all organisms. But only the method and progress varies.
